Wigglesworth Traditional Ale Series: India Wharf Pale Ale (Mystic Brewery)

Style: English India Pale Ale 5.1% ABV From: Chelsea, MA Brewer’s Note: “Ale brewed with English and American Hops.” The beer’s label is sleek and sophisticated.  It is also exactly the same as the other Wigglseworth beers (https://beerinmybellyblog.wordpress.com/2013/03/29/1115/) and as such I will just say that I like it, though it is a little cluttered and I would like some text on this unique beer … Continue reading Wigglesworth Traditional Ale Series: India Wharf Pale Ale (Mystic Brewery)

Harpoon IPA (Harpoon Brewery)

Style: English IPA 5.9% ABV 42 IBU’s Color: 17 EBC Brewer’s Notes:  “Since its introduction, Harpoon IPA has remained unique in its ability to balance hop bitterness with a strong malt backbone. Sarnac IPA (Matt Brewing Company)

This bottle’s appearance just screams “Old-Timey stuff!” But it leaves me a little bored.  The hops that are garlanding the picture of a babbling waterfall are okay and remind me slightly of a Sierra Nevada bottle, only less exciting.  The font choice is slightly cartoony, like a 1960’sish product.  The green coloring is cool, but overall this is not a bottle I would save for … Continue reading Sarnac IPA (Matt Brewing Company)
